Keith Primeau was named Special Assistant to the General Manager / Director, Player Development on July 14, 2009. Primeau’s include player recruiting, scouting, player evaluation and assessment, and team administration. Primeau’s NHL career spanned 15 seasons with the Detroit Red Wings, Hartford Whalers, Carolina Hurricanes, and Philadelphia Flyers where he amassed 266 goals, 353 assists, and 1541 penalty minutes in 909 regular season games. Primeau is a two-time NHL All-Star appearing in the 1999 and 2004 mid-season classics. Upon his retirement in September 2006, Keith had also appeared in 128 NHL Playoff games accumulating 18 Goals, 39 Assists, and 213 Penalty Minutes. Along with his brother Wayne and Wranglers General Manager and Head Coach Ryan Mougenel, Primeau is owner and operator of the Durham Hockey Institute, a hockey school in the Toronto area. He is also a part owner of the Durham Fury, a member of the Ontario Provincial Junior Hockey League (OPJHL).
