With both Wranglers goaltender Joe Fallon and Condors goaltender Scott Greenham on point tonight, neither team was able to score in the first period. Las Vegas took an early shot lead, outshooting Bakersfield 17-11 in the opening 20 minutes, but it was Condors forward Tyler Brenner who recorded the first goal of the night in the last four minutes of the second.

Going into the third with the 1-0 disadvantage, the Wranglers continued to best the Condors 12-4 in shots, and on a power play midway through the period, defenseman Charlie Cook scored the tying goal to make it a 1-1 game. After five minutes of overtime without a goal, the Wranglers faced their first shootout of the season, but ultimately fell 2-1 to the Condors.

The Wranglers return home to Orleans Arena tomorrow night to face the Colorado Eagles. Kids under 12 in costume will get free admission to the game, and a free “Treat or Treat” takes place along the concourse before the game from 6 – 7 p.m. The Great Clips no. 38 NASCAR Nationwide Series showcar, driven by Kasey Kahne, will also be outside the arena starting at 5 p.m. Tonight’s full box score can be found here.
