While in college, the Bemidji, Minn. native was also named to the NCAA Western Collegiate Hockey Association All-Academic Team for three years in a row (2008-11).

Cooper, 24, also spent four seasons at MSU Mankato (2008-12), and picked up 15 points (6 goals, 9 assists) and 93 penalty minutes in 111 games. A native of Lakeville, Minn., Cooper was named to the NCAA WCHA All-Academic Team for three years (2009-12) as well.
“Cameron comes highly recommended from his college coaches,” said Mougenel. “I look forward to him developing with our guys out here and proving to be another big body when we need it.”
