Advancing to the Western Conference Semifinals for the first time since 2008-09, the Las Vegas Wranglers announced today their second round playoff schedule against the Idaho Steelheads.
The best-of-seven series begins Monday, April 16, and is as follows:
Game 1 on Monday, April 16, at 7:05 p.m. – Orleans Arena
Game 2 on Tuesday, April 17, at 7:05 p.m. – Orleans Arena
Game 3 on Thursday, April 19, at 6:10 p.m. – CenturyLink Arena in Boise, Idaho
Game 4 on Saturday, April 21, at 6:10 p.m. – CenturyLink Arena
Game 5 on Sunday, April 22, at 6:10 p.m. (if necessary) – CenturyLink Arena
Game 6 on Tuesday, April 24, at 7:05 p.m. (if necessary) – Orleans Arena
Game 7 on Wednesday, April 25, at 7:05 p.m. (if necessary) – Orleans Arena
In the best-of-five first round of playoffs, Las Vegas swept the Utah Grizzlies in three games. A fifth game was forced in the Steelheads’ series against the Ontario Reign, and Idaho won 5-0 last night to advance to the Western Conference Semifinals. The Wranglers enter the second round as a higher seed to the Steelheads after finishing with an overall 42-22-1-7 record for third place in the Western conference.
During the 2011-12 regular season, the Wranglers had a 7-1-4 record against the Steelheads, going 2-0-3 at home and 5-1-1 on the road in Idaho.
Playoff tickets are on sale now and can be purchased through the Wranglers front office at (702) 471-PUCK (7825). Fans can purchase playoff strip tickets starting at $18 per game, or buy individual game tickets starting at $20. Tickets for kids ages 12 and under are just $8.
