In the team’s lone home preseason game of the 2012-13 season, the Las Vegas Wranglers fell 3-1 to the Ontario Reign tonight.

The two teams held each other scoreless through the first period, and after the Wranglers took two penalties in the second, Ontario capitalized on the opportunity. Reign defenseman Brock Sheahan tallied a goal on a 5-3 man advantage, and right wing Brady Calla responded with a second power play goal 65 seconds later. The Reign ended the period up 2-0.

The two teams meet again tomorrow in California for Las Vegas’ second preseason game of 2012-13. After that, the Wranglers hit the road to Alaska to face the Aces on Monday, Oct. 8, and Tuesday, Oct. 9. Tonight’s full box score can be found here.
